Well, today is a hard day in our home. After a couple of years of having Butchie Man in our family, he went to live somewhere else today. His leaving was stemmed from an incident that happened a few weeks ago where both Angel and he got out the front door and allegedly attacked a horse. It wouldn't have been so bad, but he was caught attacking a cat in December, so the Spanish Fork city attorney told us he was pretty sure the judge would make us get rid of him or have him euthanized.
Ahh, sad! We knew this was a possibility as soon as the incident occurred, but we were hoping if we got rid of Angel, (who was the more aggressive of the two dogs) we could get Butch to settle back into his ways. Other than his hatred of cats and an occasional chewing up of something, he is the most AWESOME dog ever! i think it is sad for a family to own a cat and for a dog to attack it, don't get me wrong. But I do also think it is in a dog's nature to attack a cat. We have simply tried to breed that out of dogs over the years.
Anyway, now that my little rant is over, I am just going to say that we love Butch so much and will miss him a ton. We are just glad we got him a great home to live in if it can't be ours.
Now, we're not going to have another dog for quite a while. there won't be any way to replace Butchie, so we're not even gonna try right now. Bye bye Butchie Man!! :(
