As I talked about last month, all year long my family is learning and strengthening 12 core values each month. Last month, we worked on HONESTY. This month, we are going to work on the value COURAGE.
In the book, Teaching Your Children Values by Linda and Richard Eyre, there is an opening to each chapter. The opening to this one is great!
"Daring to attempt difficult things that are good. Strength NOT to follow the crowd, to say NO and mean it and influence others by it. Being true to convictions and following good impulses even when they are unpopular or inconvenient. Boldness to be outgoing and friendly."
These statements are indeed what I consider to be Courage.
